Jambo! Hbarari za mchana?
How are you today? I am excited. Thank you all for praying that Swahili would stick to my brain! It’s working. I’m not progressing as quickly as I would like – but then I never do! Today I quizzed myself on the first three units and got it all correct! So, I have moved on to units 4 and 5! These two units are fairly short, and I thought about adding unit 6, but it looks like it starts a new type of vocabulary. So, I decided that I better finish up this theme first.
I really do want to thank you all for your prayer and your help. It is not easy to add learning a language on top of everything else that all of us do from day to day, especially when no one around you speaks the language and the need seems less immediate than everything else. Sometimes it could be really tempting to give up and say, “I just can’t do this right now.” But knowing that I have people praying for me who are going to ask me how I am doing keeps me moving. So, Asante Sana! Thank you very much!
