The Bible and the Fatherless

This small pamphlet lists every verse in the Bible where the fatherless are mentioned. It also contains verses dealing with Adoption and Children in General. Full Color PDF, 17×11

The Plight of the Fatherless

The fatherless make up 2.4% of the world’s population. Statistically speaking they face a bleak future. More than 40% of American children are growing up in fatherless homes, and yet only 1% of churches have any type of ministry to single parents. This raises the question, “What if these were my children? Wouldn’t I want someone to tell them of the hope that is in Christ?”
This printable PDF will provide brief statistics on the plight of fatherless children.

Why Ministry to the Fatherless?

You don’t often have missionaries show up at church to present a ministry to the fatherless, so why do we believe it is so important? This two page PDF will share  God’s heart in the matter.

Why Single Moms Don’t Go To Church

An estimated 67% of single parents in the United States do NOT attend church anywhere. Why? This article provided by lifeofasinglemom.com sheds a little light on the issue.

The above material presents both the need and the biblical basis for ministry to the fatherless. But what is being done to meet the need? The information below will share with you what Forbid Them Not Ministries is doing to meet the need locally, in other parts of our country, and around the world.

Loving Locally

The Lord has blessed us with an amazing opportunity to serve the single moms and fatherless children of Billings. This brochure will give you an idea of some of the simple ways the Lord has given us to reach into these fatherless families with His love.

If you are in the Billings area and would like to get involved, this PDF will share a few ideas of how you can help.

Assisting Churches

We do not have a brochure or PDF for this quite yet, however, one of our greatest desires is to walk alongside of churches as they seek to “visit” the fatherless of their community. Please contact us here for more information on how this works and how to get started. Also be sure to check out our Forum on Fatherlessness page.

The Green Bean Project

The Green Project has helped not only our local ministry but also missionaries working with orphans in Kenya and South and Central Asia. Each year we have a fundraiser from Oct. 1st through Dec. 31st for these ministries. We have seen God use this project to provide A Beka textbooks for one ministry and school supplies, clothing, fabric and other special needs for the other ministries.
You can learn more about the Green Bean Project at this link.
